Description
Certain children find asking for help very difficult. Some children have high standards for themselves and interpret help or correction as criticism (fixed mindset). Others may assume that adults know they need help without asking and become frustrated (weak theory of mind). This leads to them giving up easily and avoiding tasks that are challenging. This story aims to teach children a growth mindset by highlighting that we all have different strengths and challenges, that we are all learning, and that asking for help facilitates growth and learning.
