Description
When meeting a known peer or greeting an existing friend, it is important that children learn to show interest in the other person. Some children are good at sharing their own interests or experiences but find it difficult to communicate their interest in others. This story highlights the positive response that they are likely to elicit when they show interest in others. It also gives them some pointers on how to do so. This includes looking at the friend, listening carefully to what the friend is saying, as king the friend a question about them, and then following up with another question on that topic.
