Description
Some children find it very difficult to wait their turn to speak and they frequently interrupt others or speak off-topic, following their own line of thought. This story provides a mental and visual tool to assist children in waiting their turn to speak. Children are encouraged to park their thought in their thought garage until their friends are finished talking. Once they have finished, they can take their thought out of the garage and share their ideas or experiences. Children can really benefit from reminders that they will get a turn and that waiting doesn’t mean forever. Their turn will come and the art of waiting is a very important skill that needs to be practiced.
